Abstract: Dr. Ceballos will provide a high-level overview of the Chicagoland and Illinois quantum ecosystem. He will provide a basic, very high-level overview of the notion of a quantum internet and various applications of having access to such a quantum communication network, and he will discuss how QuSTEAM is developing pedagogical best practices to introduce these concepts and applications at the undergraduate level.  Dr.  Ceballos  will also be able to discuss opportunities for researchers, faculty, and students to join the regional and global ecosystem, including accessible resources being developed by the Chicago Quantum Exchange and QuSTEAM, from a regional quantum communication network to career opportunities.
