The focus of federal broadband efforts has been serving rural last-mile projects and providing equitable connectivity across institutions. The Quilt’s recently published maps showing HBCUs and TCUs. Research on quantum networks will require build out of polarization-preserving fiber infrastructure. QuSTEAM can participate in projects with a wide variety of engagement points, from providing access to partners and expertise, organizing educational workshops from introductory executive/leader education, to industry-specific content for organizations. employers, to implementing recruitment and outreach efforts as part of a proposal for federal funding.
